As above we are on week 3 of box rest for first episode of laminitis. Thinking ahead to when she can have restricted exercise . do they do anything that small or is there something else i can use. currently feet supported by deep bed.

not sure how big a mini is but I used the smallest size of these on a Dartmoor hill pony with laminitis and they worked beautifully. She lived in them 24/7 whilst she wandered around everywhere. You can get them in the UK from the saddleryshop.
Although they look relatively large I found that, as hoof boots go, they were relatively on the small side sizewise.

Get a good or great farrier working with a good or great vet. A farrier might put in frog supports made from a specialised support material and then will wrap the hoof with the cast stuff used for broken bones (or something v similar) to protect the hoof wall or use clogs. They will know what they are doing. I wouldn't risk rotated pedal bones with bits of mat to be honest.

My 9hh mini has had bad lami - I made him frog supports out of polystyrene 'sheets'. I just cut the appropriate size little triangle shape and bandaged them on - the vet then advised on the appropriate meds and complimented me on my custom made frog supports. they worked a treat and mini now sound. Basically find some dense, foamy, spongy type material (like polystyrene) of the correct thickness. There's no reason why it should not work.

thank you how thick do they need to be.?

I used to use the inner tubes of vetwrap, I could get three out of one inner. Simply cut into three, place a section under the frog and bandage on. They don't last long, but are a good temp measure to kick off with when at the box rest stage. I also made some pads out of old crepe bandages rolled up, squashed into a square shape and then wrapped in duct tape to keep moisture out, again bandaged to the foot. Much more hard wearing and he could go out in his 'pudding paddock' wearing them as well. Worked a treat.
