Downwards! It looks so much neater as you can tuck it under the chin, sombody switched it round the other day, it annoys me so much! I was out riding and it came undone from the top and was bobbing around on his nose, very irritating!

Upwards if keeper has been lost, downwards if it has keeper.

Upwards - doesn't rub and I definitely find it easier to do up to the correct tension when doing it upwards.
