Can you help me find a rug?

I need to get a Rambo Wug lightweight 6'6 for one of my Oldies. I would consider something equivalent in style and strength. Cant have anything with shoulder gussets as it would last a week maximum! Dont really want to go to the expense of a Fal as I have found his MW rambo to be tough enough for him. But would do if i had to.

I have had him 28 years and the rambo wug with the higher neck has been the only one that has worked for him and lasted. Hence why I want the same but lightweight.

Have looked at TDS, Eileen Douglas, Frogpool manor, equestrian clearance and ebay. No luck. Going to try DH but their reputation seems to have plummeted.

I can find a rhino lite but the rhinos are not tough enough for him. I put the MW on yesterday but he really doesnt need it for warmth. He is a woolly mammoth! TBH I will probably take it off again whilst the weather is dry.

Before people say dont rug him, he needs something as he has a dipped back and is susceptible to rainscald where the water sits.


So can anyone help me to find one? It is not the best time to be looking for a lightweight!

That style but a Rambo not a Rhino.

The Rambos are a bit tougher in my experience.

You can't beat a Rambo! I have a couple that are 15 years old and still going strong! Have you asked your local saddler, mine recently ordered a rug for me that they didn't have in stock and it came in less than a week?

I think they have had a mixed review , aslong as its in stock delivery is prompt .

Maybe drop them an email and ask if its in stock before buying

Trying to rack my brains as I found a 40g Fal Warrior with a high neck the other day in the sale. Sure it was TDS but can't see it on their website- might beworth giving them a call?!

Def go rideaway, they generally get them out pretty quickly and their customer service is pretty good.

I ordered some boots for my sister's horse for xmas and had them within a couple of days.

Would def recommend.
