Hi, I'm taking my loan pony to a cross country even this coming sunday. I need to insure him for just that day.

Does anyone know a company that offers this? I can't find any that offer less than 12 months.

Thanks

I take it the horse isn't insured with the owners?

Generally I wouldn't have thought you can as they would get no premium to cover their potential outgoings

I insured a pony with e & l once, it suited me cos they were quite short term. Although the shortest length is 4 weeks, that might suit you?

I would assume the pony is insured anyway though if you have him on loan, if not by you, then by the owner?

Are you after liability insurance which these events usually require you to have?
If so being a member of BHS , BD, BE BE, or even Birtish Riding clubs etc usually gives you that cover what ever horse you are on.
Might be worth looking into?

I think it is possible but I'm afraid I cannot be of more help than that.
I once let a horse I was selling out on a days trial. As I didn't have him insured the people trialling him got a days insurance cover on him, they showed me the paperwork although I'm afraid I cannot recall which company did this.
