can you recommend an old car/4x4 for towing?

Sadly - and very strangely  - the OP says not a Landrover :confused::confused: so the Disco is no good.... odd since they are the best 4x4s ever :D

lol they might be the best off roaders ever built but everyone knows they are also bloody unreliable!!:D Discos suffer with tinworm (rust) on the sills and chassis, leaky sunroofs and whoever invented the airbag suspension needs shooting! Defenders are a real 4x4 but they suffer with rust and leaking:rolleyes: and as for gaylanders, less said the better:o
I do love landys but my old series 3 nearly bankrupted me:rolleyes:;)

Haha!! My sunroofs (yes both!) leak & have repaired airbag suspension 6 times!! Put springs on in the end!!!
Must say it has no rust though!!

Oh & doors don't unlock so u have to lean over to unlock them, pain in the bum with 3 kids!!!

I have heard good things about the ssangyong actually, thanks!
Just out of interest rambling - what year was your disco? Since I bout mine I've heard people saying not to touch a certain year - which of course mine was!!

My disco was 94 , a long time ago now, but was top of the range , I bought secondhand first owner emigrated.

I know there is a problem with the Troopers too once they pass a certain age most mechanics know which one to avoid.
