Hello all.
I have a 5 year old grey over from ireland. His passport ( ISH )is all blank appart from his markings and name and year of birth.
I want to show him at county level this year. To me he looks like a connie cross. I havnt measured him yet but i think he maybe be over the limit for breed standards for the connie society.
Basically what im asking is can i register him with a know breed standard ( if he matches. ) and show him under that breed standard.
If i showed him in irish classes (another problem, there isnt alot of classes!) i do not think he would be seen as a good stamp of irish sports horse as he is fairly small compared to the chunks that would be in there!
also can you register them for example, with the connie society without parentage etc.
i will post a picture of him below and see what you think he is.

No, you can't register him as a Connie cross if you don't know his breeding (and that he is by or out of a registered Connemara pony).

You could show him in unaffiliated/local shows Showing classes as a connie X as they don't ordinarily ask you to prove breeding.
