Can you replace synthetic girth straps? HELP

Hello,

We recently got a pony on loan, but his saddle is in awfull condition the girth straps are down to the nylon and are fraying i am very worried about riding in it.

But i dont want to buy a new saddle as i may not have the pony for long..so i thought about getting the girth straps replaced. But i am not sure if you can so what i want to know is can you? and if so how much would it cost?

A saddler can replace them with leather straps, not idea of the cost, but won't be too much.

Yes.

My saddler charged something like £10/strap I think. That was for leather ones, which are much easier to do up.
