I think it differs on the horse. I wouldn't do hard work, but my horse is fine normally. My friends horse however felt miserable for about a week It sometimes gives your horse a mild flu.
Me too. We might have an amble round the village the folowing day, but I wouldn't do anything faster for a few days. But then, I never ride them just after shoeing either...
My vet didnt say anything about not riding for 2-3 days after mine had his injections. I gave him the day off cuz he was microchipped and had the dentist as well on the same day. I had a lesson the day after though.
Just had my boy done; vet said OK to ride! But then, we're just happy hackers so won't be doing anything too strenuous! But I think I will take him easy for a day or two.
I certainly wouldn't compete, or hunt though for a few days afterwards just to be sure.
Last mare I rode the same day for a little potter around. She never seemed to react to the jabs.
Current mare needs 4-5 days off because she reacts to them. 1st time she came out in hives. LAst time she had a massive lump on the injection site and was miserable for 3 days so I gave her near on a week off to let her recover properly.
