Yes you can show in this sort of saddle - you won't be asked to leave the ring!

The reason for a straighter cut saddle is so that the movement can be seen properly and so as the saddle does not obstruct the view of the horse.

If at local level I wouldn't be too concerned - however if you are going to show seriously get a show saddle.

If there is a ride judge they usually hate dressage saddles more than anything (from the horses mouth so to speak)
