Can you soak haylage?

As title really, its not something I've ever had to feed due to having a laminitis prone pony. But the yard is running out of hay, plenty of haylage though! So can i soak it like i soak her hay now to reduce the sugars? Or do i need to start looking at alternatives?

Yes. Soak and rinse.

Ah great thanks her hay is usually soaked for 4-6 hours only other question was if that's long enough/too long? Or treat it just like hay?
