Can you spot a difference... Stables

Could it be that they are the manufacturer's photos and these two are retail sellers? They are both sellers with good feedback.

The first one is called a mobile field shelter. No way...there are individual stables inside and no steel or wooden runners with which to tow the building. Most councils would consider either structure a permanent stable block. The price difference is to be expected. These are two different sellers.

But is the more expensive genuine? Suppose it could be manufacture and then someone selling them!

Not necessarily I wouldn't think! They're both listed as 'new' so possibly the more expensive seller has gone for more of a mark up, or might be something to do with the fact that they're willing to have it delivered?

We've got two portables, one we had metal skids put on and we moved it, the stable manufaturer towed it for us, then built us the second one. He said we hadn't really needed the metal skids (we had them made by a local metalworker) as the thick wooden bits at the bottom would have towed anyway. So they don't have to have metal skids to be portable..

I really like the design though. I'd want to line the inside with kickboards.

Not too worried as replacing permeant structure and new grass land needs planning permission so mobile/non mobile not too much of an issue!

Can't c pics as on phone but if in frome is the guy we bought our 12x24 field shelter from, we collected, they help u load and I have literally just finished creosoting mine...v pleased with it. When I was collecting he showed me designs for ones with stables either end and area in middle, looked great. I know he does sell them to a lady who will then come and put up for u as well !

What did you collect it in and was it easy to put up? Glad you are pleased. Impressed with what I see!

Yes emailed Frome stables and the lady on eBay is his customer who can deliver and erect! Thanks

I hired a flat bed trailer from Bridgwater trailer hire but friends have collected in a horse lorry or it will fit in a standard 2 horse trailer (but not in my equitrek)- they load it all for you.

My OH put it up - not difficult as such to put up but you dont get any real instructions so need to lay it all out before erecting it. They supply all bolts/screws etc.

We put membrane down then loads of hardcore and levelled it (all by hand - all 11.5 tons of the stuff although we only needed so much as ground wasnt level) then put down sleepers (bought from mole valley farmers - which is near trailer hire place so collected at same time) which OH bolted together to form the base to bolt it to.

Remember you will also need tobuy guttering.

You can ask him for any combination you want - my 24x12 is totally enclosed one end to keep my hay dry but has a 12foot opening the other end so large bale haylage can be put in there by tractor !

Hope this helps

look at the feedback too.
the first sellers feedback is all from sellers ,not buyers.
the second one has more positive feedback from satisfied buyers ,so that would be the one for me..and cheaper too!

We brought our stable off these people too in Frome, collected it in a large van and erected it ourselves, lovely stable at a brilliant price,
Love the stable and field shelter Idea, Wow, I really want one!
