Can you stop a dog rollling in poo?

Has anybody ever found a way of stopping a dog rolling in poo? My delightful mutt loves no scent better than Fox's number two and rolls in it EVERY day when she's at my mum's while I'm at work. My mum has a big garden full of wildlife, which she and my dad love to watch so I can't ask her to try to keep them out (and don't think it would be possible anyway) Has anybody ever found anything that stops a dog rolling? She ends up having to have a bath every day as she smells so bad, which is no fun for either of us!

eww......

mine isnt that fussy! he likes fox, but deer, horse, cow, even other dogs and the other day, his OWN diarrhoea was just fine!!!!

you want a stinky dog?! let them roll in his own squits! then u can talk about stinky!!! hehe

My dog loves to eat / roll in fox / badger poo but I very much doubt he'd go near his own - it doesn't smell bad enough.

yup that was me that requested the knowledge if discovered, MOSTLY for the self poo rolling!

and if you think fox poo smells bad! i think own poo is like a repulsive perfume!!

our dogs like to roll in anything smelly, green, putrifying- the grimmer the better!! weird creatures!

It isn't a spaniel by any chance is it? Mine loves anything and he is also the smellier and more rotten the better. He found some rotting fish on the beach the other day and by the time i got to him he had matted up his entire back, neck and ears and looked incredibly proud of himself.. Needless to say the journey home had every single window open and 17 washes later he still stank!! (joking about the 17 washes btw)

If you find something you should market it; you'd make a fortune!

What is it with spaniels and smells???

I actually threw Henry bodily into the canal a few weeks ago after he CAKED himself in fox sh!t - good job he likes water!

He got a bath with Johnsons Baby shampoo - he was not amused...
