Can you suggest exercises I can do whilst out hacking?

We had a fire at our yard this week and the arena is out of action (due to going up in flames!!!). The hay barn next to to the area and stables caught light with just a spark which rapidly spread to a couple of stable and to the rubber on the surface of the arena !!! They had to dig out what they could as fast as possible. All the horses etc were fine but whilst we wait for it to be re done we only have hacking and occasional schooling in the paddock. I want to keep up my youngsters education so any ideas ?

maybe transitions, and flexion right and left. Maybe use it as an opportunity to introduce your horse to as many new things as possible to get it used to anything and everything, water, wheelie bins etc.

I always work on leg yielding and basic lateral work with mine when out and about. Or if there are any suitable gates nearby you could always do gate practice.

Anyway, I'm glad to hear that none of the people or animals were injured in any way during the fire . That's the best news. Hope it doesn't take too long for the yard to get back to normal again.
