Can you tell me please.

I have just bought a 3 year old heavy cob Gelding, he is Clydesdale cross, i do not know what he is crossed with , the previous owner said it was a gypsy cob?
He stands at 15 hands.

He is really heavily built and up to now seems to be a kind lad.

He had never been in a trailer when i went to collect him , but he walked staraight in!

He travelled 50 miles without a sound! he had never seen a stable but he is in the table at my home right now with no problems.
Does anyone know what kind of temprement these kind of horses have?

Up to now he is great, is this because he is a calm sort or am i just lucky at the moment.

Blacky is a cob, a fell cross though so not the same but she is the most laidback horse ever!

He sounds gorgeous so enjoy him!

I have a cyclesdale x ???? also! allthough he is 17.1hh! sounds fine so far dont think anything is just luck!

He is the gentlest thing you could ever meet the smallest kids can ride him and handle him around the yard. Hope yours is just the same

He is a lovely lad, i hope i have got a kind one, my last horse was ID X TB and was so headstrong and nervous i never bonded with him and i am still recovering from 3 broken ribs.

He sounds like a little gem from what you have said, similar to my mare, so trusting and obliging, she is a gypsy horse my mare and has always been the same wonderful mare for the last 15yrs with very little change at all

My pony is some sort of gypsy cob (I think). He's very chilled, takes most things in his stride. I'm get the impression most of these types of horses are like this.

We have a Gipsy cob on our yard, buzzy enough for daughter to drag hunt on, fun enough for 50+ mother to charge about on (safely) safe enough for novice father to plod out on. Amazing animal !

Mine is another Fell pony cross like Blacky_Baby's. Only 14hh, built like a tank but so gentle and sweet. I can charge about on him like a loon in the school and then stick a complete novice on him and he'll look after them.
