I would really like to wash the liner rug from the horses' double layer turnout rugs but weather not really conducive to drying ATM! Can I tumble dry it safely? Can't locate a washing label on it... :(

I tumbled one once on cool and the binding shrank so I would be very careful. I wash my Tristar liners regularly and they dry over a door pretty quickly, I wash them twice with comfort in the 2nd wash and they don't seem to smell the house out.

well i do and sometimes they shrink and sometimes they melt. not forgetting sometimes wrecking the dryer or going all patchy!!!! still do it though!!!!!

I tumbled a fleece once after washing it in my machine. When it came out of the washer it smelt lovely and clean. I popped in the drier and went out to come home to house stinking of hot stinky horse.
You obviously can't get rid of the stink with just one wash although it looked nice and clean it took me days to de stink my house and even longer for the drier to smell normal again!!
I would never do it again!

They do tend to shrink in the T.dryer even on a low setting but if you wash then put on a fast spin then they are only damp when they come out and will dry overnight hung over a door.

I too totally stunk my house out after tumble drying a stable sheet - once through the washing machine isn't enough to prevent that lovely aroma that only horsey people find non-offensive! Husband was not impressed when he returned home to the stable pong, so won't be doing that again!!

I washed a rather hairy fleece once and put it in the tumbler. Came back to a garage which looked like some one had been flaying cats. There was hair everywhere. Never again!
