I thought I would buy it for her bday (2 weeks) but she won't ride her horse in anything but a snaffle (eggbut jointed). I know nothing about these western style bridles (im assuming thats what it is

Look at the cheek piece where you attach the bit. I think it is a stud and you have to unscrew it with a scewdriver which is not very practical. Im no expert but got one of ebay and it looked like a bit of a bother to put the bit on.

Thank you Andrea

... I have cleverly worked out that just after her bday (when I will present her with this lovely oh-so expensive gift) I am going away for the wknd and really need someone to look after my horses

My friend rides western and all the bridle parts do up like that, you just need a screw driver to adjust them, it looks quite easy.

Perfectly fine to use a snaffle with it.

Make sure you can do the screws up tight, and that she knows to check it regularly - they can and do come undone when least expected!

Also if her horse hasn't worn a one ear style before they can take a bit of getting used to. It's quite unusual to see the earpiece in braided leather and it needs to be kept very soft or it can rub.

but a nice looking bridle..off onto Robinson's site to have a better look!
