Can you use the same pessoa on more than one horse?

Dumb question really although not really for me.
Can you use the same pessoa for more than one horse? I appreciate you'd have to adjust eveything to suit each horse but is there any reason why you couldn't share one between two horses?

Thats my point I don't know why not!! I've never used one so don't know how much of a fag it is to adjust it etc. Two of the girls on the yard have been advised by vets to use them and they're pricey so they're thinking of sharing. They asked me if I knew of any problem with this and I'm asking you guys as I don't know!!
 
Yes they are fully adjustable.

i'd doubt very much if one setting would fit two horses TBH...

And if the person wanting to know this isn't sure, then, IMO they shouldn't be messing around with a Pessoa in the first place!!
 
Hi,

May I suggest they try the Equi-ami as it comes with a dvd showing how to fit and use it.

Like a pessoa but comes in 2 bits, much easier to put on, only needs to be adjusted on one side as the whole thing forms a loop that the horse works in. Meaning they cannot lean (or learn to lean) on any part of it.

Easy to adjust between different horses too.
 
As JM07 said - if they don't know, please tell them to do as I did - get in someone professional who knows how they should be used, get them to adjust it for you and shown how the horse should be on it and how it should be adjusted.

Can be a useful bit of kit - but only if fitted properly and the horse worked properly with it.
 
I have the John Whitaker version and it is quite easy to fit (comes with instructions)and my friends have borrowed it for their horses on several occasions and not had any problems adjusting it to fit their horses
 
Yes you can, I have just got one off ebay I have gone halves with a friend it was a recommend by someone on here it's a third the price of a pessoa and is just the same, I have used a genuine Pessoa and there's not much difference, she is using it on her TB and I am using it on my Clydesdale X cob who's a big b*&*er so that should be proof enough that it's adjustable!!!
