hire clippers out????? (this is a stupid question ,but i just wondered),

our 2 horses need clipping soon and we usually have someone come out to do it, she does a very nice job, but she has reently broken her foot so wont be doing any clips this winetr. i have always wanted to have a go at clipping but dont really want to fork out a lot of money for something that will only be used a couple of time a year

anyne any ideas??????

One of the tack shops in my area hires clippers out - think its a £50 deposit and £30 for the day's hire, might be worth asking around your local tack shops

Yes you can hire clippers, but often works out as expensive as paying someone to clip

Be wary of borrowing friends clippers as if you drop them or they break on you, it could be a recipe for disaster.

jessie im not sure really, what kind of clip dop u want doing? im not too bad with a pair of clippers, and im sure mum wdnt mind me doing it if u wanted me to and they wwere both safe to do...just a thought?

ohhh! fran that sounds good, star would have a trace clip, and sicco would have a hunter clip/full (wateva its called) star is good to clip but we have never clipped sicco so i dont no wat he is like but can ring old owner and find out, will pm u some time
thanks

col, well its jst an idea i wd have to ask mummy darling tho!! iv dun clipping for the last few years now, and i think i do a pretty good job, i can sen u sum pics first it u wanna c what im like-i know i wdnt trust anyone with a pair of clippers!

Unless you're borrowing clippers from a friend I think that it is better value to pay someone to come & clip using their own clippers. Hiring them costs virtually the same as hiring someone to clip for you.
