All you peeps, can you add vets bills to your insurance after your horse has been diagnosed with a long term illness (ie cushings, ems, navicular) a month or so before the insurance was due for renewing?

So you are saying that the horse was already insured before this illness was diagnosed ? if this is the case then then I would think yes it will be for the first year or up to the amount of vet cover that you have on your policy.

You can add "vet bill cover" at any time, BUT when you do, you have to advise of current and past health issues. These will then be EXCLUDED from the policy.

I am sorry, but why should an insurance company agree to take on and insure your horse for vet bills, when it has just been diagnosed with something serious. NOT the way the world works, and certainly NOT insurance -
