Cancelled - damn rain

My BE event today is cancelled which I only found out AFTER Id plaited up at 6am this morning and was all ready to go! Poor ned had to be unplaited and chucked back in the field again, he was rather confused! A bath, kept in last night & plaited this morning for nothing - I think he thinks Im a nutcase.

Damn damn damn. This stupid rain has been peeing down for 24 hours solidly now! June has been a bollocks month for weather, I think Ive seen the sun ONCE! Surely it'll turn nice soon???? First time EVER yesterday I found my Welsh Cob shivering. I thought this horse had elephant skin or something coz he's NEVER got cold so was quite a surprise he is normal after all!

One of my other horses was such a pleb, he stood outside in the pissing rain for hours BESIDE the shelter but not in it! So of course, he was shivering like a leaf even though when I took him in, he was dry as a bone underneath - it's raining but it's not actually cold!

Felt like a very bad mummy though.

How are your horses holding up? And have you had events cancelled today?

On our way to Mundole this morning we saw people heading back from Colliemore. At least you hadn´t left before you found out it was cancelled.

Yeah - you know it *almost* crossed my mind when I was standing there about to take all his plaits out that I should maybe call Mundole and see if they could squeeze me in there today but I thought better of it! How'd you do?

Yeah, I know someone near me who set out for it at 5am, only to turn round and come straight home. That's crap! And we almost stayed over last night, had a stable booked and everything!
