Just been told that Stafford Riding Club has been cancelled due to "Show cancelled due to hard & uneven ground"

I'm very surprised that they haven't been watering it!!
You would think they would, especially knowing that they had a comp coming up.
Shame for all the people that were going to attend.

I know but they have one ring for SJ, one for showing, 2 dressage arenas, one small SJ ring and a couple of warm up areas on a very large field so perhaps impractical to water? Normally it is ok as it has a very good covering of grass but by the sounds of it they perhaps didn't get chance to harrow and level it after the winter?
Tis a shame as sis has got Sunny going so well and was looking forward to doing the dressage and SJ, me on the other hand have a poorly out of action horse so didn't mind eitherway! Lovely show though and people are very helpful

we went past the showground the other day and there was nice green grass, was shocked to see it cancelled as really needed to get some novices out.
