Cancelling insurance policies

Does anybody know if you get charged for cancelling an insurance policy?

I am currently with KBIS but want to go back to petplan but renewal not up for months yet.
Want to return to petplan as been comparing benefits and realised i do not have rider insurance or as much vet cover with KBIS. Also as boy getting older (18) would rather change before he gets much older.

I had no charges when I cancelled mine as I sold my horse, I was with petplan.
You might find they will charge you if you are honest and tell them you want to switch.

no idea with KBIS but it should tell you in your T&C's. I feel that Petplan are the better insurance company for my needs.
