Canford Cliffs retired to stud

It's a shame his career has been cut short and a rematch with Frankel would have been a thing to savour but at least he has a new career to look forward to. He will be treated like a king at Coolmore and will want for nothing and by all accounts there won't be any shortage of mares for him to enjoy!
 
Headline news on Racing Post. Such a shame but something was clearly not right at Goodwood. The Hannons will miss their superstar but well done to connections. Look forward to seeing his offspring in a couple of years time.

I have a lovely photo of him being walked round in the paddock after the Sussex Stakes last week. No idea how to get it on here though:o
 
Damn, I was looking forward to a re-match. At least he is safe and hopefully sound. He was a wonderful racehorse, but I think Frankel is a freak of nature. Better left wondering really for connections.
 
Yes it's a pity that his career has been cut short, but it will be interesting to see what his line brings down.
