I'd really like to try this, but it's like a switch flicks in my BC's brain as soon as I put his canicross gear on and he has to RUN! I wonder if there'd be a way to make a clear distinction between trekking and running so he didn't end up getting overly excited on the 'walk' bits.
Glad you enjoyed it, it's great to do something a bit different with them isn't it!

Today we tried something I've never done before , canitrekking
Like canicross but just walking with the occasional jog as opposed to running
You wear the same equipment which my dog went really well in
She loved it and I'm definitely going to go back and do more ? ?

That's basically how I CaniX - never have got on with "always running" ! I CaniX slowly up hills in a jog, free run down hills, and leisurely stroll on the flat!
Glad you had fun with it - I find it a nice way to maximise their work and my exercise without overdoing it. I will never be a true runner!

Well. Yes
But don't forget the occasional jogging part. For those of us who "run" but don't run, we like to feel like we run with occasional walking ... when in reality I mostly walk with occasional running. It's philosophical like.

I hear ya! ??

I was trying to figure out how to put it diplomatically ??
