Canny alternative use of pair of Cavallo Simple hoof boots, size 5.

It would have been polite for the borrowers to have asked permission first, though . Also it’s a bit rude to hand them back without cleaning them up after use, tsk, manners.

They were stored together on top of a high cupboard in the feed room, I got them down today. These are empty nests which must have been from last summer. I’d got no idea this was going on. The boots are the perfect size in which to make a cosy nest.




The boots are scrubbing up better than you might imagine from the state of them in the pics. Tough, these Cavallo Simples .

I had a water vole nest in an old grazing muzzle inside a storage box I kept in the field once. My son enjoyed watching the babies grow up and mum bringing back food. Was lovely we’ve had house martins in the stables this year too.

Last summer I had a friend to stay; she can ride but hadn't brought any riding gear with her. I went to find her a hat only to find a small bat family living in it! It was just hanging over the edge of the shelf enough for them to come and go.Thankfully there were other hats available
