Talk about everything going wrong at the moment. Not been on here much as my father in law has been very poorly. Also as some of you may have read, Ive been recovering from a broken leg and ankle and its not going well.
Well last night, my sister took the horse for some showjumping practice, managed to fall off and has done exactly the same thing as me! We cant believe it!! She went in last night by ambulance and I left there at 1.30 in the morning. Managed to drag myself into work this morning and she cant have the operation until tomorrow as theatre is full.
So now I have no-one to ride my horse. Hes old (16) so do you think he would come back to fitness again if I turned him away for 6 months. Hes been eventing all season so is very fit at the moment. I had heard that once an older horse loses it its very difficult to get him back again. What do you think? Should I try and find a rider for him to just keep him ticking over? I can manage to walk around but any more than 20mins and my leg is agony. (seeing specialist again in a couple of weeks to try and sort it out)
Talk about nothing going right...
