Haven't posted about Lucy in a while as she's generally an easy dog with no dramas. But i feel she's well overdue a big up as she's honestly the most fab little dog I've known in my life ?
I posted when I originally got her, it was one of those meant to be moments. My old boy that I had lost, pointing the way by his photo being on the wall behind her rehoming photo (looked like he was jumping over her head!) so despite the fact I hadn't been planning on getting another dog she was home within a week...
Now don't get me wrong, she is no meek and mild personality.. She is full on 'watch out there's 30kg of greyhound attempting to jump into your lap from a running start' type. Definitely has the dog version of ADHD she bounces everywhere. 20 minute walks do nothing for this girl, she's out for hours and still has energy to spare, her tail is wagging constantly. She will force you to cuddle her and god forbid you stop will poke you with her paw until you give her a hug back.
She goes above and beyond to make you happy, you ask her to sit or paw and she will do it as fast as physically possible and give you her paw 20 times in a row with the biggest grin on her face ?
Zoomies around the house are like a flipping tornado...
You only have to whisper her name and she appears... Overjoyed that you've called her.
She is just so so full of life and fun, up for absolutely anything and everyday she's like a kid at Christmas...
Don't get me wrong there's days where I think why can't you be chilled like a normal greyhound when I'm ill or tired, but they are rare and I wouldn't change her for the world ? even if she's a collie in a greyhound body!
She turned 6 on the 6th June, here's to many more years of the nutjob hound!!
