I took my Sunny to first Breeders Elite grading on wednesday, at Brendon stud. Well I took him for the outing, and really expected to come last, especially when some other people arrived and told me their horses breeding. Sunny is out of first foal I had, now a 10yo, who was by a midnight wanderer out of a mare I rescued.....
And he is by a colt that I bred that was gelded!! Oh wow!
When he was born he was a superstar,full on character. I had to help him stand as he was born with no warning (maiden mare) and got stuck by the door, and had given up trying when i got there. got stuck when he laid down, I had to roll him over to get him out the mess! but wow!
So expecting to come last.....and we get the champion first foal, breaking all the rules, ie not lisenced stallion, not graded mare......but wow he can move!!! and he is a stunning model as well!! He has his sire and grandams blaze....copied down both generations!
The only thing that I would change about him......was that he was a filly and I could justify keeping him!!!
