Can't believe this Advert

At least they're honest...

Unbelievable!!!!

Well, all I can say is that IMO he is still young (warmbloods do take longer to mature) and whatever has happened to him has made him like this!!

I feel very sorry for the horse, but worse I think is the owner, who is risking someone else's ass because they can't be bothered to either sort it out, or keep the horse, or PTS!!

This horse will be passed from pillar to post, what a sad life

To be fair to the owner it doesn't sound like they are capable of sorting it out. At least they've been honest and hopefully someone who deals with a lot of horses like this will sort him out and get him on the right track

Have sent that link to my friend, sounds a bit like the one she bought who is now doing well. Don't know if she has room for another, but at that price - you never know!

Poor horsey
frown.gif
- tbh the owner doesn't sound like she cares at all about him or anyone else

!! He sounds like a typical wb - they have to be worked consistently and frequently and not be allowed to take the p*ss. Just firm strong handling and as f_s said he is only a baby in wb terms so will be trying it on as and when he can.

I hope he finds a nice home who have the time and patience to put the work in with him - not just someone who wants a wb but has no idea what they are taking on.

Lets hope someone buys him, turns him a way for the winter then restatrs him slowly in the spring. Would be very tempeted myself if I had the space and time.

I would very much like to go and see this horse. Am currently trying to talk myself out of it! It sounds like a typical warmblood-owned-by-a-novice, and good in traffic would be one up on what I have now!

Someone tell me I am barmy.......good job I am going on holiday on Saturday for a week, I expect it will have gone by the time I am back!

*rummaging through her battered purse* sound like every horse my mother got me when I was a kid telling me it would make me a better rider lol.... Anyone up for a whip round???
smile.gif

Pound to a penny a dealer buys it and passes it onto some poor unsuspecting person.

Poor lad, fingers crossed i'm wrong as usual.

I've googled the phone-number and it is the same as the person in this article - someone who runs an RDA type place in Nuneaton.

I still like the sound of the horse, but the whole thing seems a little bit odd to me. I may ring and ask her for some photos.....

SpottedCat - you know you want to!!

Rushyj - I'm up for a whip round!!

I have rung up! Left a message so will let you all know what comes of it, if anything. *must not tell OH, must hope he thinks one brown TBx looks much like another brown TBx, am thankful current field at yard is not visible from carpark should he ever come to yard*

Lol SC - yes please do tell us what happens!

Put it this way - I have got away with Chesnut V bay before so too bays...no problem!

SC, you have loads of time to see it before you go away!

just tell him he must be seeing double and suggest he goes to the doctor
grin.gif

That's fab! You must keep us informed as to how you get on! I am exactly the same with OH, he still does not realise how many ponio's "we" have collected over the years from ad's like this, though none quite the same! Just as well he does not pay much attention or I would be in big trouble!! In my case, the filed is in front of our house, he does not ask so I do not tell:)
This one was a bit far for me though, hope it works out well.

Story behind the horse sounds genuine - I can't look at it till we get back from holiday and OH has pointed out that I probably don't need the extra cost of a second one when none of my clients have paid me yet.

I can't help thinking that if it is still for sale in a week when I get back it isn't worth looking at, coz at that price if it is worth a punt someone will have taken it by then.

shame, could probably be a really nice little horse for someone. unfortunately too small for me.

From talking to the owner, I am inclined to agree. If it were closer I'd go and have a look today, but it is too far and I don't *need* a second one (I just *want* a second one). We'll see, if it is still available then I may go and see it in a week or so.

I did my work experience at that riding centre. (want em to go and visit for you SC?!

The lady was a bit interesting. They did have some nice horses tho (and appalling luck- they had to shut earlier on in the year with strangles, which of course meant they had no income for some time)
Sounds like a nice project for the right person, poor mis-understood horsey!

Too small for me too, but sounds like it could be a bargain.

If it is still there in a week though, as you say, maybe not?
Keep us posted!
