the reason he doesnt want to be caught is because he knows he's going to do some work. best thing is that he learns he works harder if not caught.
if he wont let you catch him then dont let him settle, dont let him graze or talk to his mates keep moving him on and make him work. if its a small paddock really make him work with a lungeline/whip. you'll find on the first time that he'll keep playing the game for a long while till allowing you to catch him and then next time will be less till he decides that actually being caught is the more fun option ie polos or a cuddle, or a relaxing groom, being ridden etc
good luck - only had to do this with my mare a couple of times before she realised what the better option was
