Cant find this helmet in the uk!

I want to buy this helmet as its the same style and brand I had when I loved in Canada for a whole. I found it on ebay but its coming from Texas. Was wondering if anywhere in the UK sells it? I can't seem to find it anywhere.

I imagine because it likely doesn’t hold the UK safety standards? Can you get it shipped if you really want it?

Send an e-mail to Troxel asking if they have any UK stockists. I don't think it's kitemarked so not allowed for use in bd/sj/be.

Oh okay, thanks for the info i looked on Troxel website but didn't see anywhere that sells it. I am not showing just want it for riding at my livery yard. I just ordered it of Ebay!

Glad you got sorted, if you ever need to replace it and struggle on EBay just look online for Western suppliers in the UK, a lot will get them in for you (and have US shipments coming in constantly). I have a Troxel Cheyenne and know what you mean- i have found them to be so much nicer and comfortable than “standard” hats.

Thanks I didn't think of looking up western suppliers! I rode western and English in Canada but my yard is mostly jumping and other English riding. No one rides western at all but I may get western tack eventually to hack with. I was gonna get the Cheyenne helmet but thought it might be odd with that one and riding in English tack? I will end up buying it eventually, I think as its nice and will look good with the western gear when hacking where did you get yours from? I hope the Avalon gold fits like the Cheyenne as I had an older version Cheyenne in Canada about four years ago and it was perfect!

My Troxel came from Hooves Western in Yorkshire, Lesley and Jim are now very good friends as they are such lovely people.

All of our western tack came from them as well, they will give you lots of advice if needed. Even if you don’t buy anything from them.

We changed to western years ago and it was the best move ever. We generally just hack out now and we used to get tons of people stopping to ask questions (including the postman when I met him on the long drive when I lived in Yorkshire, he said he’d never met a cowgirl in Yorkshire before ?.

Western is big over here so we fit in well.

I never realised how uncomfortable “English” hats were until I got the Troxel (Uvex are wonderful too but I liked the style of the Cheyenne so much).

Just double check as some livery yards do require you to have a current british standard hat
