Well it looks like my broken hip is on the mend although I'll always have two huge 10cm screws in my hip bone! The consultant advised not to get back on til March - mind you he thought horses were just dangerous things and i shouldnt' get back on at all (think a lot of his patients were a result of riding related injuries). I'm walking on one crutch and without them in the house - so in a few weeks should have a bit more strength in my leg to at least do some groundwork.
My horse has been out of work for 3 months because of his op too (we are a right pair arent we!) but i hope i can do some groundwork with him. Perhaps some longreining or loose schooling. Has anyone any good ideas? Maybe now is a good time to practice learning parelli??
