Id like the opinion of others as to which bit to use.
My new horse is great but he raises his head a lot ,iv had his back and teeth checked,he is tense in the neck.He is a nappy horse and forward going on a hack, but in the school i need a whip and he goes forward then.iv recently been out on him with other horses and i couldnt stop him, although he has a very soft mouth and is well schooled,he takes the mick,i ride in a hanging cheek loose link, but have been told to try either a bubbly bit, kimblewick,(which i have used in past on a strong cob)or a tom thumb.
I am currently riding in a market harborough only for hacking, and it works great, but i need to take him out of it as we sj as well, but i am off to do some endurance in april and need to beable to stop him racing off.
can anyone help.
