Can't understand by no one has been.............

My two pennorth worth.....I think full TBs are always harder to sell. Not everyone wants them. Time of year etc...
I also agree with someone early on who said there was too much written, I didn't get to the bottom of it either. Maybe you could bullet point the important bits then explain his history when people make contact.
I can understand why you felt got at but if you step back a bit and re read the posts, no-one is actually accusing you of anything just telling you what the advert says to them (rightly or wrongly) but really, that is what you asked!
Have a hug and hold your head up, you know you are honest and you are doing your best for your horse.

can't comment on the video but from the rest of the advert he sounds a nice sort but given that he's what i would call a 'project horse' (ie one that needs some work doing with him) its not what i would buy in the winter- in spring then he would be just what people are looking for- a cheap horse to buy, bring on and then sell- whilst the weather is nice. i also think advert is too wordy- better to be a bit vague and then speak fully/frankly when people ring up

. I think your ad is FAR too wordy.

The fact you say he is too much for your daugher would put me off immediately. If I was you, I would up his price to £1500 ono, and simplify your ad....so people have reason to call you!

You only need to write something like....

"Albert" 16.2hh tb gelding. Eligible for ROR classes.

Has raced 3 NH/5 PTP races, since then has been used as riding club allrounder.

Impeccable manners in stable, good to load, shoe, catch. Worming and teeth done.

Cheap price reflects current state - he hasnt been in full work as I have no time. Currently being ridden twice a week. Good winter project for someone who wants to have fun at riding club level next summer.

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't believe what some of you have said! It also shows me how photos and videos can give the wrong impression!!
Right where do I start.........when I manage to close my mouth. My daughter purchased Albert from Acorn Sport Horses in Ireland, the same place I purchased my Pheobe from. As Pheobe is an absolute star, my daughter decided that she would go back to the same place. We trusted Acorn when we told them what we were looking for when they suggested Albert. We were about to fly over and when my daughter said she didn't feel lthe need as Pheobe was brilliant. Albert arrived at the beginning of June having passed the vet(apart from the splint) but within a few days I knew he wasn't right for her, Acorn said they would take him back but daughter wanted to try. 7 weeks later she knew herself that he was too much for her but Acorn wouldn't take him back then so I recommend she sent him to someone that I thought I could trust. He was there for a month, person said he would school him and get him ready for sale, daughter rang twice a week. One day my friend went up to the yard and saw him in that state, daughter away. I had to go rescue the poor horse, person wouldn't answer my calls. Apparently he was unrugged in a field with NO grass and NO haylage!! He has been with me since the 14th October as some of you may remember my posts. He has gained weight and I have just started to ride him. I am NOT a rogue and the above story is absolutely true!!!!!!!!!! I don't tell lies!
Albert is NOT lame, he was just struggling with the very slippy ground. I challenge anyone to come see him and tell me he is lame.
With reference to someone saying I produce young horses, I don't! Here, check my web site out and you will find it is just a personal one for my OWN horses. I do web design and all the metatags etc I placed in the HTML code are there to attract visitors as I am so very proud of Pheobe and Emma.
I cannot believe how I have been made to feel!
I posted on here for a little advice not to be made to feel like a dishonest person!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PS you did ask for opinions...noone is saying you are dishonest, just that is how it appears - perhaps you should listen as maybe that is what all the people reading your ad will think too?

Remember they dont know you or your history. Keep it simple, dont give history, and let them call...THEN explain.

I understand what you are saying R2R just didn't expect what I got, I'm upset that this decision because I have formed a really good bond with Albert and wish I could keep him. I've even thought about trying to find a sharer then he could stay here. I will take on board what people have said. I just wanted to be honest in my advert for him but obviously TOO honest.
