Canter mane and tail....no longer impressed is it just me?

Oh that's a shame, I hate it when they 'fix something that ain't broke' as it were! I'll be honest, I've never found anything better that canter, but if it's even more expensive now, and not as good, I won't be buying any more.
I'll try NAF or cowboy magic.

Get an appaloosa ... You won't have a tail to brush then ! But seriously don't those sprays just weaken the tail etc anyway with all the silicone in them ?

As it is all effectively silicone polish I use Peasridge Champion shine. 5 litres for £29, decant it into spray bottles and it works out at £6 per litre.

ugh i had same convo with girls in the tack shop last week................HATE the new bottles (albeit i have managed to decant them in to alternative bottles with a bit of a fight).

will be trying something else definitely next time :(

oh no I have used this since I was a kid. Did they do anything weird to the coatshine or just the mane and tail cond????

I have only ever used the coatshine as it does both jobs no problem. My pony has a lovely thick tail that I can brush through easily and a shiny coat. Will be gutted if they have changed it, I bought my last bottle ages ago, will I have a nasty surprise at the tack shop? :s

I just started making my own with hair conditioner and hot water to mix it. I've always brought main and tail before but this is so much cheaper and has a very similar result!

Ohhh that's annoying, I had tried a Lincoln cheaper one recently and it is rubbish :( I had show sheen before which was quite good actually but I had been thinking as soon as the Lincoln one runs out i'll go back to the classic Canter.
Won't bother now then!
I have the coat shine in the new style bottle which is good as a mist but see how on tails it would be awkward..and expensive!

Slightly reassured that the 1 L size will stay the same. I noticed the re branding recently and tried it for size in the tack shop (just holding it!). I found it difficult to hold and was very miffed!

Well done to CDM for clearing this up!
I do use Canter so it's good to know, however, for anyone with horses that have really long/thick tails, I find the best combination is Eqyss Survivor (more like a serum) rubbed in no more than once a week, tail braided up and then a quick spritz of Canter or Cowboy Magic before going into the warm-up to stop the tail re-tangling when the horse is moving about.

Thanks for the reply CDM. Another one here who HATES the new packaging - the mist is just too fine for my horse's disgusting bog brush of a tail. I'll try and look out for the 1L pack.

I am well impressed that CDM came on here and put people in the picture. I would like them if I could and as a 52 yr old male I don't do the facebook malarkey at all but a big thumbs up. Thank you :)

I use Lincolsn Classic Mane and tail conditioner and have used the NAF one..both were good, but tbh I do tend to buy whatvere is cehapest/i lay my hands on first in the shop. That said another lover of the canter mane and tail.

Thanks CDM for responding.
