Canterbury Horse Rescue - Urgent Need of Help

I'm not sure if this has already been posted but I know how generous people on this forum are when rescue and horses are in dire need so I hope its ok to post:

There was an article on my folks local news this evening about the Canterbury Horse Rescue which has run into financial difficulties really down to a lack of donations given the financial climate and the number of horses that have needed help long term or with veterinary care:

Now I am not recommending this rescue as I do not know that but given that rescue is rescue I hope you lot will dig deep... or maybe offer a home:

This is a registered charity in the south east who are currently looking after 25 horses that are facing being pts. I am sure any help would be gratefully received no matter how big or small.

I'm slightly confused as to why they suddenly have to face closure given the fact they have taken in one extra 'rescue' horse? Surely they knew about their financial situation prior to taking that one in? If that is the case, then surely they shouldn't have taken in anymore. Surely they should have acted sooner to address their financial situation.

I hope the situation gets sorted for the horses' sake.

I would have thought they have been but given its a rescue would you see them turn away a horse or pony in desperate need?? They are obviously trying if they have turned to the media for aid.
