cantered on hack for the first time this morning

Sorry for all the posts over the last 2 days but it all seems to be happening at the moment.
This morning i had my first canter out on a hack! It was a very collected bouncy showjumpy sort of canter if you know what i mean - but it was lovely - he didnt pull and stoped when i asked - sarah & Juno were doing a big cob trot beside us. He felt extra comfy as well as he had his new numed sheepskin numnah on (as per saddlers advise) it felt just like sitting on a cushion.
Any way, another step forward! Yippeeeeeeeeeeee!

Well done - I understand how high you must be feeling! I was really nervous about cantering in open fields on my new horsey but have now galloped over stubble and loved it!! Now I'm annoyed that the stubble is being ploughed !!
 
I am pleased that you are enjoying your new horse so much. I am a bit jealous too because I've only trotted on hacks so far. I would love to have a good canter but we are either on the road or on deeply rutted tracks so it isn't safe.
