Lil has a lovely light canter on the left rein but rushes and falls in on the right rein.

Will cantering her on the lunge help her sort her balance out? Any other ideas?

Instead of cantering on the lunge with one rein have you tried or thought about using two reins and long reining instead and then you can help balance her a bit more with your outside rein from the ground whilst still working on the circle, plus can also make the circle bigger or more oval shaped if she is finding it very difficult to balance to give her some respite from the stress of cantering continuously on a circle :)

I am currently reschooling an exracer and he is certainly left handed so really falls onto right shoulder on right rein. I am asured by my instructor that cantering will help him balance, build it up gradually and have a pole out so if he goes onto wrong leg, you can direct him over pole and he will hopefully land on correct lead. I am also doing lots of walk halt walk halt transitions on small circle with side reins on and whip (handle if nec) to shoulder to ensure he transfers weight to outside shoulder

Cantering on the lunge :)

Build up to cantering on the Pessoa :)

Canter in a 20m circle and go over one pole lying on the ground. Build up so that you eventually have four (quartering the circle). It will help to with the balance.

Also lots of long canters out on hacks (Carl Hester recommends it :)).
