hi guys im new to this forum and was wondering if anyone could help me - i have been offered a 2yr old coloured filly foal by this horse and have been asked to make an offer but i have generally no idea what it is worth - i dont want to insult the seller or pay over the odds - i know she is something special and is from an han mare who i have seen, the filly and her mum are both stunning and im in love. anyone have any ideas of what you would expect to pay for a filly of this quality?

thankyou in advance

The sire has good bloodlines without a doubt but if I were you I would look for his competition record as I can see no results for him and at 9 years old you would expect to. His stud fee is cheap at £250.

Can you see if any other progeny have competed successfully?

Don't overpay would be my advice. Unless a stallion is really proven hinself and with proven progeny any foal's possible performance is a massive long gamble with no guarantees. The stud fee should be something of a guide to any foal's worth imo as this would reflect what I have just said.

Have no idea about his stock but I have met him and he is a really lovely lad and I know they have great hopes for him for the future. He is very relaxed but is just starting his eventing career really so not fair to judge on those results. He did a lovely double clear at his first event and just had a baby brush off at T'down. AFAIK he's done some BSJA but they didn't think he would make it above 1m30 so they've seen if he'll make it as an eventer (but don't quote me on that - I may be confusing him with another of the van erpekom stallions!).
