caped crusader! stretchy CS pics, + new browband..

Am loving this. Not normally a pink lover but he looks fantastic. It would just make my black lad looks rather 'gay', but he is a stunner. I do like the thermatex exercise sheet though. I have to say I own an extensive selection of the Horseware Newmarket ones in all shades, plus a proper wool Newmarket one which cost me a fortune and is drycleaned with care every year. Where did you buy it as I want a plain black one to match his lordships shiny coat., plus possibly a chocolate brown one to match the dark bay bits on madame's skewbald coat. OMG, matchy match, what have you done to a confirmed scruff and an eventer? LOL!!!!!!!

Also, small complaint. Where is Bruce?

Lastly, have just bought Mini TX your headband as an xmas pressie, presume its the Pikeur one. She wont be riding in it though, not unless she wants to stick her HS1 on top of it though.

Browband is nice too - but brass with a black and silver bridle? (or is it brass? :p)

i love it that the hat debate continues to rumble on...PS- i think you need a disclaimer before all of your posts (like they do before tv programmes that have 'swearing from the outset'? :rolleyes:)

i wish i could get my horse to warm up like that- would actually die if i tried to though- can cool down like that, but definitely not warm up! :mad:

Is the coligone powders or liquid? I still think this is what could effect my sisters horse. She tried the pink powders with a slight difference but at the moment the mare is evil! Goodness knows what she would be like out, however perhaps she's worse due to not being ridden?

ADORE that browband, am trying to persuade myself I don't need one... but had been hanging over them.. is yours the "straight" ne, or the curved one? What are the sizes like?! Was resisting the temptation to get one in "Aqua" for madam ;) :p
 
janey-its the liquid, it smells strongly of aniseed but CS loves it, gulps it down without a murmur. you can get little tubs for about £20 so worth a try id say.

Rach-too late, you've got the bug now, you know twizz would look lovely in a new blue or grey ensemble.........!!!

diggerbez-made me alugh, maybe all post should have a rating,like at the cinema....post contains: riding without a hat/moderate referances to riding without hi-viz/bright matchy matchy from the outset etc!!!!
 
So, how DOES the thermatex fasten on ? Im looking for one that doesnt go under the saddle as dont need any more bulk, and yours looks like it may do the trick ...

PS - can I ask what make your bridle is please? I am looking to get my boy a new one in the new year and am just getting ideas, plus I like the drop noseband!

I have a tan with brown piping embroidered thermatex exercise rug :p Its Bloss's ''best'' one that i used to warm her up in at comps. If it wasnt embroidered with her comp name i wouldve sold it to you.
 
bridle is an elevator, its actually got a sabre drop on it, but im sure you can now buy elevator drop bridles all in one.

thats a shame tempi, would have had your arm off! am going to be keeping eye out in jan sales!
 
I had mine made by some one on ebay - did take a while (2 months!!) but it was around £50 cheaper than normal. Was about 4yrs ago now though, but have a search as think smaller companies do make them cheaper.
 
Gorgeous pics as always :) You've inspired me to try and find a matchy-matchy outfit for the big fluff's first outing about town (to a clinic) on Sunday... will post pics if i'm brave enough and her owner doesn't mind!

I'm wearing Grey, White and Red (my standard issue stuff)... so think i'm going to have her in Grey or should could go in Black and White? She is white grey herself

How about Black bound white and red?! Thermatex make them with two colours, a piping and a binding

PS, hhmmm a set i dont have, Im tempted but just not a fan of that colour- Lime green however...

I love CS, think he is absolutely gorgeous! I have a CS of my own who would LOVE that browband - what exactly is it, as I couldn't seem to find it in the usual places?

I am also going to start doing some of the matchy matchy myself - Sidney will wear bandages just for matchy matchy purposes!

mine is the old style schumacher crystal mesh wave shape, they dont make them quite the same now (the new ones have leather showing along the edges) so you can either get a new style on from classic dressage, dressage deluxe or cool equestrian or do what i did and search and search for an old style one. try german ebay-schumcher stirnband.
