Car Break-In Essex/East London

On Saturday, a silver/grey transit van containing a man and a woman, twice drove onto our yard in Chingford, turned around and left again. The 2 visits were a couple of hours apart.

On Weds evening, 2 cars were broken into on the yard and handbags stolen.

The 2 incidents could be unrelated, but please be on your guard.

Thanks for the warning Theresa.......a friend had her lorry stolen from Ingatestone on Friday night too, so there seems to be a lot of activity from certain 'communities' this weekend.......

Also in goffs oak around that time my friend had parked her car in yard car park and man came in and asked for directions and took her bag from car in broad daylight with everyone sitting in tea room. so beware!

Last tuesday I had my phone and wallet taken from my bag at some point - haven't quite pinned down when - it was either pickpocketed from me, or it was taken from a yard just north of chingford at about 7pm in the evening. There was someone else on the yard... so it seems unlikely - but reading the following - it seems more likely

the same thing has been happening at Patchetts, Ponsbourne, Newgate Street, EQ9 and yards around the herts area - thankfully it hasnt happened at mine yet but hopefully that is because it is hard to get into (coded gate) keep your cars locked everyone!
