Car Hire and dogs! a heads up

My car broke down yesterday on my way to work, It was not safe to sit in it whilst i waited over 2 hrs for the recovery, i had Daisy with me as was taking her to get checked over as she has been poorly, thankfully she seems ok now. But when i got recovered i told them i had a dog with me and when i got to the garage they said i cant have a dog in a hire car because of allergies etc... now luckily the garage had a scabby old pick up and they took us home in that.
Daisy behaved impeccably and sat quietly on my lap in the recovery vehicle and in the pick up and was no trouble at all bless her. So please check with your insurance/garage otherwise you might end up stuck!!

You're not having a very good time at the moment are you hun? I'm glad Daisy is on the mend at least!

I've always been able to put Henry in the courtesy car I get when my car is serviced as long as I tell them in advance and put a seat cover on... I do possibly play down his spanielliness over the phone when booking though
