Cardboard bedding - what companies?

I've heard Ecobed is brilliant so I've enquired about it, but a week later I've still not had a price for a pallet so I thought I'd continue my search in the meantime. Is there another company of cardboard bedding that are recommended?

Ecobale don't delivery in my area.
So looking at Green Mile now...

What part of the country are you in? Usually it's more cost effective to find a locally made product. I am in Scotland and use BedExel which is made quite close to me, I buy it from my local feed merchant.

i think there's an issue with cardboard for bedding now in so much as its very difficult to get hold of. Think its something to do with the laws on recycled cardboard having changed

same goes for paper bedding i think

I used to use Walmsley Premierbed (chopped cardboard) and I'm in Yorkshire. It's very dust free and makes a warmish bed but doesnt 'stay' well so not suited to a vigorous box walker. They also do paper bedding I think.

Really nice guy, very helpful. I think they do palletised delivery too. Worth a google anyway!

I have recently tried both EcoBed and Green Mile. I got the Ecobed from a local feed/bedding/tack shop and wasn't all that impressed. I then got Green Mile delivered to the yard - the bedding is very nice in that is fluffs up and seems quite a comfy bed. I think it is more absorbent than Ecobed.
They were the same price per bale for me (£7.50)... but with Green Mile that included delivery.

However, I have to say that I have found both to be no where near as absorbent as shavings... I get a wet patch on my matting which i didn't get with shavings.

My horse is pretty messy. He's a big boy and likes to mess his bed up.
Even so I am getting through 2+ bales of Green Mile a week (not great). The company seem to think you will only use 0.5-1 bale a week!!!!! My friend on the yard (with a not so messy pony), ordered the bedding with me and is getting through around 2 bales a week too. I am not sure what horse they got that statistic from!

I was on Bed Down excel shavings before, which I can get at £6.50 a bale so think I will probably go back on that once I have used up my green mile - and I only used to get through 1.5-2 bales a week in winter of that!
