Which way is better to have the bed?? Thicker or just a thin bit?? Stable mats are down too. So far Ive start with 4 bales don't do banks. It's the strips bits. i gave up on using WP just couldnt get it right and his feet were starting to smell not good. I dug the whole bed out last weekend only to find that the mats had moved leftd a inch gap in between them so the wee went under yukk!!! I spent most of the day trying to dry the floor out and clean the mats. Now I have been using the left over WP underneith the cardbord which seems to be working ok so far.

Roll on summer so I can seal the mats down!!!

I have a 12 x 12 stable and it takes about 3 bales to put a bed down for my 16.2 with rubber matting underneath

I put banks up and it's not to thin in the middle as if it is his rugs start to stink. I only cover half the stable though and leave the front half free for hay etc. I'm lucky he is quite clean and doesn't walk round in circles all night mixing everything together!

I think it's a great cheaper alternative to shavings I would use straw but don't have the storage.

So far he havnt box walkd so poo's all in one spot thank god!!! I see how it goes wheter to put more in. His stable 12x14 half bed then rest to have his ball his got a haybar.
