I'll keep an eye out for you. Ironically, there's a pony on my yard that's been up for loan for a while and as soon as we find someone, potential loanees have been popping up everywhere!

My lecturer has a little mare that she needs to put on loan - she has two horses but is finding that she has less and less time for them both! She would like the little mare to stay at the same yard, and doesnt want to sell, so I suppose a loan or a share would be possible!

Do you know what yard she's on? I'll let a friend of mine know as her mam was looking for a horse to loan, but it might depend on location.

She didnt give me the name of the yard, but she did say it was north Cardiff (aparently the nicest one in the area, renowned for lovely hacking?) Doesnt mean much to me as I wouldnt know one yard from the other, I only ever see Cardiff from the train and Uni point of view!
She did say the mare is quite lightweight, and wouldnt be able to carry more than 10st (I raised my eyebrows at this as she would be quite happy to let ME ride her, and I am nearly 13st, not that she would know that!
) Also I dont think she wanted any 'children' to have her - she's looking for someone a bit more experienced. She said she'd had a lot of calls from 14 year old girls....which was no good as the mare 'is an adult's horse.' I then told her I had had Ellie since she was 5 and I was 12....think she felt a bit silly then!
If you could pass the word around, that would be great!

Ooooh, I love a good mystery! *Put my Holmes deerstalker on* Hmmm, north of Cardiff, nicest yard (well, I think so!) and great hacking, I would say from that description that she's on my yard lol!
If you can get a bit of info from her re yard that would be great. I know what you mean about weight/experience - I'd rather have an experienced, 11 stone 13 y.o. than an 8 stone, 35 y.o. beginner (any similarity to any persons reading this is purely coincidental

Oh my word it would be funny if it is the same yard! The lady's name is Joanna, and *I think* the horse she is looking to loan is named Donna? Or Dollar.....argh my memory is useless! And she has a dark bay welsh cob with an irregular shaped white blaze, very pretty

Dollar is ringing bells, but I think it's from my riding club, very possible we're in the same one, given her location. It's the Rhyddid.
