I am trying to compile as thorough a list as I possibly can of careers with horses. I also want to find out how you would go about training and getting into these careers. (I'm not looking for a career change! Just doing some research!)
If anyone can help with any additions I'd be very grateful. Off the top of my head I have...

Riding Instructor
Yard Manager
Groom (Riding school, competition, livery)
Farrier
Saddle Fitter
Dentist
Tack Shop Assistant
'Back man'
Pysiotherapist
Chiropracter
Vet
Vet nurse
Feed merchant
Jockey
Bloodstock Agent (this one I haven't the foggiest on how you get into it so any insights gratefully recieved!)

Any additions?

Racehorse trainer
Head lad
Assistant trainer
Travelling lad
Trainers secretary
Valet [working at race meetings]
Stud groom
Grooms/drivers working in horse transport

Bloodstock agents are often former jockeys or trainers who have good contacts and get asked to find horses and sometimes manage the owners racehorses.
There are also racing managers.
