Have just obtained following info:
Carlingford Castle stood at the The Grange Stud in Fermoy - part of the Coolmore empire - he got good tough horses but they only had one gear and that was in general slow. He was considered a failure and in his later years was sent to England - a well known stud in Leicestershire the name of which escapes me - but the same place that Le Moss Commanche Court and other Coolmore cast offs went. If you want a photo I suggest you contact The Grange - they stand Oscar Saddlers Hall etc - and when the covering season is over they would be glad to help - or go and visit the place they will make you very welcome.
yup.. CC was considered not the greatest.. Ted definatly has a 'go fast' gear tho. Also had a lot of runners in the GN. so he cant be too bad.
Can definatly see ted in you boy.. Nice to see another horse with CC in his breeding. First close up pics i have seen.
Thanx for the link i will get in touch.
