Perhaps not enough people knew about it? I only knew because a FB friend posted that she was going to cheer them on. Sorry if it’s been advertised widely & at the Savoy party.

I would imagine every upper level eventers knew about it, absolutely everyone at the Savoy dinner/party and sponsors/owners for the top tier eventers.

I knew about it because I follow Piggy on instagram and I'm pretty sure I read about it in H&H recently.

I do think it would be a hard sell to the general non horsey, or even non eventing, public. I was talking about the charity cycle the other day with non horsey muggles. There is a perception that upper level eventers are "toffs" and well-off, so they should look after their own, akin to celebs on tv asking us to donate while they are multimillionaires.

But yeah, I am surprised that the extended eventing community haven't been more generous.

There’s a photo in the Telegraph this morning of Zara on it. Hopefully that will raise awareness but it doesn’t say much.
