Has anyone had experience of this??
My 4 year old mare developed a small swelling around knee, was xrayed and scanned and vet diagnosed the above. Told me to leave it as wasn't lame and see how it goes. Fast forward two months and the swelling was very large, still sound and not causing any pain.
Vet suggested draining it so re xrayed to check that there wasn't any chips and then drained it, 45ml of joint fluid came out and she injected with steroids . Leg was dressed and pressure bandage applied and 2 weeks box rest. Now since starting to go out the knee is starting to fill again...
Anyone else had something similar?
