The best guess is in their 30's - they have lost a lot of teeth and have had to a few removed.

Tear jerking! What an amazing outcome for Carrot and Spud.

I remember that night so well, up until God knows what time on here, when I went into the work the next day I told everyone and we HHO on constantly refreshing all day and Samstar giving me text updates - Fantastic result

Really nice to see an update. Do you know if the owner was prossecuted?

No he opted to sign them over to Bransby - its the option that the RSPCA etc prefer as it obviously avoids the costs involved with a full prosecution as well as ensuring the ongoing saftey/welfare of the horses.

The vet who saw them initially and said they were thin because of their age needs to be made to see them now and then take a training course on equine nutrition & condition.
